Este disco ya había sido posteado antes, aunque se trataba de un rip de 192 kbps. En esta ocasión se ofrece un rip en formato FLAC (copia clónica, sin pérdida, del CD original), y otro en MP3 a 320 kbps.

Último disco con Carlos Guirao. Todos los discos subsiguientes de Neuronium fueron obra de Michel Huygen. A propósito, en este hilo el propio Carlos explica las amargas razones que lo empujaron a abandonar el grupo.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: Con gran tristeza debo informaros que Carlos Guirao perdió su batalla contra el cáncer el pasado 17 de Enero. Que en paz descanses, donde sea que estés.

Comments:This album has alredy been posted here before, but it was at 192 kbps rip. This time, a lossless rip (in FLAC format) as well as a 320 kbps rip have been uploaded.Last album with Carlos Guirao in the line-up. Every Neuronium album afterwards has been the work of Michel Huygen. By the way, if you happen to speak spanish, on this thread the own Carlos explains the reasons why he left the group. If you do not, he says, essentially, that it was a matter of "ego, ego and more ego" and that Chromium Echoes had a lot of tension (he doesn't explain if it was the album itself or the atmosphere in which it was recorded...) that he didn't like at all. He also says that Michel had a one hour TV program at the time and asked him to help him out; Carlos agreed and they rehearsed for a few weeks, and everything was ok. The TV program went fine, but when they went back to the rehearsal room and he set up all his equipment, Michel told him that he didn't need him anymore.





UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Carlos Guirao finally lost his battle with cancer last January 17th. Rest in peace, wherever you are.

Orquestra Mirasol - D'Oca A Oca I Tira Que Et Toca (VINILO) / (VINYL)

Doble LP de estudio. Ripeado de vinilo, nunca editado en CD.

Orquestra Mirasol formó parte de la escena progresiva catalana de los 70; una fracción del rock facturado en esas latitutes fue bautizado como "Rock Laietano" (algunos ejemplos son la Compànyia Elèctrica Dharma, Iceberg u Oriol Tramvia). Todos ellos frecuentaban la mítica sala de conciertos Zeleste (ahora difunta, aunque después reabrió rebautizada como Razzmatazz, pero con otros dueños y, según se dice, otra atmósfera), verdadero emblema de aquella escena. En algún momento de su trayectoria, Toti Soler (ex-OM) colaboró con Orquestra Mirasol.

Tras un par de LP's (el primero, "Salsa Catalana", ya ha sido posteado aquí), la banda se rebautizó como "Mirasol Colores"; bajo este mote editaron una trilogía de discos (aunque en una vena más tropical y cercana a la salsa) y luego se disolvieron. Sólo el primero de ellos, "La Boquería", fue editado en CD. Los otros dos ("Mirasol Colores" y "Línea 5) son muy raros y difíciles de encontrar.

En 1998 la banda se reunió fugazmente como Orquestra Mirasol y editó un disco en vivo llamado "Virgen Morena", también bastante difícil de encontrar.

Orquestra Mirasol took part of the catalan progressive rock scene of the 70's; a fraction of the music produced there (Catalonia, east-northern Spain) used to be called "Rock Laietano" (think of Compànyia Elèctrica Dharma, Iceberg or Oriol Tramvia, to name a few). They were all regulars at the now difunct Zeleste club (it reopened its doors under the name Razzmatazz, albeit under a different management and, as some people describe it, with a different atmosphere as well). The club was hugely emblematic of that scene. At some point, Toti Soler (ex-OM) collaborated with Orquestra Mirasol.

After a couple of LP's (the first one, "Salsa Catalana", has already been posted here), the band changed its name to "Mirasol Colores" and made a trilogy of albums (albeit in a more tropical and salsa-esque vein) and then disbanded. Only the first of them, "La Boquería", has been issued on CD. The remaining two ("Mirasol Colores" and "Línea 5) are very rare and hard to find.

In 1998 the band briefly reformed as Orquestra Mirasol and released a live album called "Virgen Morena". That one is pretty hard to find too.

Diego De Morón - (Sin nombre) / (Untitled) (Rip de CD + rip de vinilo) / (CD rip + vinyl rip)

Diego De Morón es un guitarrista flamenco de etnia gitana que publicó una trilogía de discos en toda su extensa carrera. Éste, el primero de ellos, fue editado por la serie Gong del sello Movieplay, y producido por el legendario Gonzalo García-Pelayo (productor de Triana, Ibio y Azahar, entre muchos otros).

Este debut se compone de ocho temas; una mitad fueron producidos e interpretados por los tres miembros de Triana, mientras que la otra corrió a cargo de los de Granada. El resultado es una curiosa mezcla de flamenco instrumental y rock sinfónico, que por momentos recuerda a unos Triana instrumentales. Debería ser del interés de quienes gusten del disco The Soul Of Flamenco And The Essence Of Rock de Sabicas.

He subido dos rips: uno de CD (en formato MPC) y otro de vinilo. Este último suena un poco más nítido.

Diego De Morón is a flamingo guitar player of gipsy ethnicity who released a trilogy of records throughout his large career. This one, the first of them, was released on the Gong series of the Movieplay label, and produced by living legend Gonzalo García-Pelayo (who also produced Triana, Ibio and Azahar, among many others).

Diego De Morón's debut features eight songs; half of them were produced and arranged by the three members of Triana, while the other half were in charge of the members of Granada at the time. The result is a curious mix of instrumental flamingo and symphonic rock that sometimes reminds me of an instrumental version of Triana. It might be of the interest of those who like Sabicas's The Soul Of Flamenco And The Essence Of Rock.

I've uploaded two rips: a CD one (in MPC format) and a vinyl one. The later sounds a bit clearer.
