Carlos Guirao fue miembro fundador del dúo Neuronium. En 1982 se aleja del proyecto, quedando éste en manos de Michel Huygen. Ese mismo año, Guirao publica Revelation, su único disco solista hasta 2008 (Memorias De Un Ser Humano), en una vena muy similar a la de los trabajos de Neuronium por entonces.

ACTUALIZACIÓN: Con gran tristeza debo informaros que Carlos Guirao perdió su batalla contra el cáncer el pasado 17 de Enero. Que en paz descanses, donde sea que estés.

Carlos Guirao is an ex-member and co-founder of the electronic duo Neuronium. In 1982 he left the project, leaving it on the hands of the other half of the duo, Michel Huygen. That same year, Guirao releases Revelation, his only solo album until 2008 (Memorias De Un Ser Humano). It sounds a lot like anything Neuronium were doing up to that point.

UPDATE: It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Carlos Guirao finally lost his battle with cancer last January 17th. Rest in peace, wherever you are.

Este disco ya ha sido posteado, no obstante, se trataba de un rip de 160 kbps. Esta vez se ofrece una copia clónica en formato FLAC, y otra en MP3 a 320 kbps.

El Patio puede gustar o no, pero en cualquier caso, es una pieza absolutamente fundamental no sólo de la historia del rock sinfónico/progresivo español, sino de la música popular de los últimos 33 años facturada en España. Recomiendo con una mano en el corazón su escucha. Creo que, junto a No Somos Nada y Revolución!! de La Polla Records, es el mejor disco jamás hecho en este país.

Re-reedición remasterizada en digipack de 2003. De todas las ediciones de este disco, es la que mejor sonido tiene (aún mejor que la reedición de 2002 en caja de plástico). Enlace en comentarios.

This album has alredy been posted here, yet it was at 160 kbps rip. This time, a lossless rip (in FLAC format) as well as a 320 kbps rip have been uploaded.

You may like El Patio or not, but in any case, it is a cornerstone not only in the story of spanish symphonic/progressive rock, but also the spanish popular music of the last 33 years. I heartily recommend it, and I truly believe this is the best album to ever come out of this country among with No Somos Nada and Revolución!! by La Polla Records. (Note: those two have nothing to do with progressive rock at all)

Remastered re-rerelease on digipack, 2003. Among all the releases of this album, this one has the better sound (even better than the 2002 re-release in jewel case). Link in comments.

Salvador Domínguez - New Flower Power

NOTA: La discografía de Azahar ya ha sido posteada en este blog, no obstante, se trataba de rips de 160 kbps. Esta vez se ofrecen copias clónicas en formato FLAC, y MP3's a 320 kbps. Por otro lado, la edición del segundo disco que se posteó hace unos meses fue la remasterizada en caja de plástico, que data de 1997, y tiene un arte de tapa poco favorecido. La que se ha subido esta vez es la re-remasterizada en digipack, de 2006, que respeta el arte original del vinilo.

NOTE: Azahar's discography has aleady been posted here, yet all the albums were ripped at 160 kbps. This time, lossless rips (in FLAC format) as well as 320 kbps rips have been uploaded. Also, the previously posted edition of the second album, was the 1997 jewel case remaster with a rather unfortunate cover art. This time, the re-remastered digipack edition from 2006 has been posted, which respects the original vinyl art.
