Mi Generación fue una oscura banda española, que en vida publicó dos LP's: "Mi Generación" y "Electric And Acoustic Sound" (este último, agresivamente raro, se compone de versiones de otros artistas), además de dos simples (uno de ellos, "Toma Tu Parte De Felicidad", no incluido en ninguno de los LP's). Un tercer LP permaneció inédito hasta 2007, cuando fue lujosamente reeditado en vinilo junto con el ábum debut y el simple "Toma Tu Parte De Felicidad" por el sello Wah Wah. Lamentablemente, nada de este material vio la luz en CD.
Disponible en formato FLAC (copia clónica, sin pérdida, del LP original) y MP3 a 320 kbps.

A third album remained unreleased until 2007, when it was lavishly reissued on vinyl with the debut LP and the "Toma Tu Parte De Felicidad" single by the Wah Wah label. Unfortunately, nothing of all this has ever seen the light of day on CD.

Tapiman fue una mítica banda catalana de hard rock, en la que militó el legendario Max Sunyer (ex-Iceberg, Pegasus y otros) y el difunto Tapi (ex-Máquina!). Su discografía consiste en este LP de estudio y dos simples. Varios años después de su disolución, el baterista Tapi intentó reformar la banda con Sunyer, que rechazó la oferta (ya que por entonces militaba en los míticos Iceberg y estaba más metido en el rollo jazz-rock/fusión). Aun así, reclutó a Javier Moreno a las seis cuerdas, y sacaron un segundo LP, el olvidado "En Ruta", que ni siquiera fue reeditado en CD. Aquí hay un excelente artículo al respecto, y aquí un extenso hilo sobre los quehaceres del malogrado Tapi.
Volviendo al LP debut de Tapiman, el mismo fue editado en CD en 1993 a través del sello PDI, junto con las caras A y B del simple "Hey, You!" como temas extra. En 2005 fue pobremente remasterizado y reeditado con otros dos temas extra por el sello Guerssen. Más información abajo.
Este disco ya había sido posteado antes, aunque se trataba de un rip de 160 kbps. En esta ocasión se ofrece un rip en formato FLAC (copia clónica, sin pérdida, del CD original), y otro en MP3 a 320 kbps.

Tapiman was a legendary catalan hard rock band, in which living legend Max Sunyer (ex-Iceberg and Pegasus, among others) and the deceased Tapi (ex-Máquina! and ex-Lone Star) played. Their discography consists in this LP plus two singles. Many years after the breakup of the band, drummer Tapi tried to reform it with Sunyer, who turned down the offer (since he was in Iceberg and more into the jazz-rock/fussion thing at the time). In spite of this, Tapi recruited Javier Moreno instead, and they released a second LP, the much forgotten "En Ruta", which hasn't even reissued on CD format. An excellent article about this album can be found here, and there's a large and comprehensive thread about Tapi's whereabouts here (both in spanish).
Back to the Tapiman LP, it was released on CD for the first time in 1993 by the PDI label, with the A and B sides of the single "Hey, You!" as bonus tracks. In 2005 the album was poorly remastered and re-released with two more extra tracks by the Guerssen label. More info below.
This album has alredy been posted here before, but it was at 160 kbps rip. This time, a lossless rip (in FLAC format) as well as a 320 kbps rip have been uploaded.

Estaba esperando a comprarme esta reedición remasterizada para repostear este disco en FLAC, pero me la bajé y me llevé una decepción. El remasterizado deja mucho que desear; es uno de esos típicos remasterizados modernos de mierda, que suenan altos pero comprimidos. La edición original de 1993 suena mucho más limpia. A favor de esta nueva, puedo decir que está muchísimo mejor presentada, e incluye las caras A y B del segundo simple de la banda, "Love Country", como temas extra. Disponible sólo en formato OGG (no MP3 ni FLAC).

I was waiting to get this newly remastered reissue to repost the album in FLAC format, but I downloaded it and I'm disappointed. The remastering job leaves a lot to be desired; it's one of those shitty modern remasterings that makes it all sound louder but compressed. The original 1993 issue sounds much cleaner. In favour of this reissue, I can say that it's much more carefully packaged and it includes the A and B sides of the band's second single, "Love Country", as bonus tracks. Available in OGG format only (no MP3 nor FLAC).

Carles Benavent es un bajista de jazz internacionalmente reconocido. Su currículum es extenso, aunque destacan sus colaboraciones con Miles Davis, Paco De Lucía, Máquina! y Música Urbana. También tocó con Jorge Pardo y Crac (no confundir con los asturianos Crack), una oscura banda proto progresiva catalana previa a Máquina! que no dejó grabaciones oficiales.
